Washing a stuff toy

Cleaning your child’s stuff toys does not need to be costly, all you need to do is put the stuff toy inside a pillow case and pin it or tie it. Wash it in the washing machine with a washing powder and pour in a little amount of fabric conditioner, then set on a gentle wash. It does not need long to wash it, just set it on a quick wash and then spin dry. Once finish, you can hung it, to let it dry properly. After you have done it, you can really see the big difference as it will smell good and look like new. You may also was your child's soft toys by using a damp cloth that has been soak in a warm water then rub it against a bath soap, dip it in the warm water and squeeze the cloth leaving just enough water to wet and clean the surface. You can rinse it by wiping the surface of the toy again with the damp cloth which has been dip on a warm clean water. Leave it to dry.

Washing a carpet floor

This is my DIY technique in washing a carpet floor.

What you need:
• Bucket
• Sponge
• Washing powder

What to do:
Fill the bucket with warm water
Add a little amount of washing powder and mix it until it bubbles
Dip the sponge on it and squeeze
Then wipe the surface of the floor carpet using the sponge.
It is just like washing a car, but please do not put too much water on the sponge as this will result to a very wet carpet and it would take a long time to dry it.
There is no need to rinse it after doing this procedure, just leave it to dry.

This procedure is good for taking dried food stains on the floor carpet, but if your carpet is heavily stained, it would also be best to use a carpet stain remover.
